My walls are blue and yellow and are staying that color. I have plentiful pictures to put up on my walls from my trip to England, France, and Italy. What kind of frames should i frame my pictures in? What types of decorations should i put up on my wall? Tips and Ideas of adjectives types please!!
Buy some old suitcases at the thrift store and pile them up for a table. They can work for storage too! A trunk is also a angelic idea. Use black frames. Suitcases, lots of suitcases! Stack em and bolt em together to make furniture!
I found a site call myframestore.com, they give you an option to upload your photos and actaully see how it will look surrounded by any frame they carry. That way you will know what focus or frame is good for your set of pictures! Maps. Decoupage (hope I spelled that right) a map to be the top of your nightstand, or cover old frames next to them. Use post cards. A stack of suit cases is always nice.
Answers: Maps have already been suggested, but they are pretty cool. A planet is even better; some even light up from inside and are great at night.
I suggest a travel bookshelf, near travel narratives and guide books. You can get lots of guidebooks for cheap at yard sale; some of the information about places to eat and sleep go out of date but most of it stays current. Go to Amazon listmania and find lists of the best travel books.
If you hang up any of your clothing right in the room (on portable closets) try some lovely travel clothing or a panama hat.
Music really change the space, so why not some great world music for your cd player. Putamayo has a great selection of cds from adjectives over the world.
You can get great travel accessories at the National Geographic or the Rand McNally retail stores. You'll win idea there, too.
You can even draw from travel theme sheet sets.
If you want to go far out, you can hold glistening stars on the ceiling and a sleeping hammock (with or without mosquito netting) for your bed.
