I am looking for some inexpensive decorating philosophy to help prevent the loud ring but will also be inviting for guests. I have a generous living room with glorious ceilings; it have white tile floors and opens up to the rest of the home. . I've looked around for nouns rugs but an area rug for that room would cost over 1000 - i.e. more than we want to spend. So we have a big white tiled floor and two big white walls and 1 wall mostly windows. It is a lovely room but the biggest pain is the reverberate - it is even heard over the phone! Any thinking would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
Answers:    I`ve heard that carpeting help decrease the resound sound within a room.
The thing that removes "the boom syndrome" is fabric. Since you don't hold carpet, you may know how to use a few smaller rugs. Curtains also will make an resonate disappear. Do you have a cloth sofa? How about draping a throw over one stop. Adding pillows to the sofa and chairs is an option. You could affix doilies or runners to your wood furniture. That should also help. How around getting a large wall tapestry to droop in the living room. A tapestry, individual woven cloth, will definitely backing. Wherever you can add textile, do it, because that is not the thaw out feeling you want your guests to enjoy, when they are visiting. Good luck.
