Answers: I use them to showcase decorative, occasional and antique items. I have a sizeable carved shell which looks even more spectacular under chalice. I collect old fan which look wonderful inside and use the sides to support it being interested. I collect harlequin dolls and the cloche actually keep them dust free while on display. And, at the holidays, I turn one upside down, fill it near different sizes of ornaments, put a wooden base underneath and scarcely right side it and add a ribbon to the top "handle" as a holiday display.
I put small colorful lights inside mine...lots of them...
