I dont want solid colour, i want it to have white woodgrain effect. how can i realize this and which is best paint to use?
i infer u shud try to sand it down a lil first so the paint has a rough surface to dance onto iv done it and it worked so gud luck

If it is raw timber you can 'lime' it.
Thin undercoat and a tablecloth. rub it on, then rub it sour. Takes a bit of working out the timing
Give yourself more time if you add linseed grease to oil undercoat or milk to waterbased undercoat,
flimsy sand 180 grade and later varnish,
If you want to 'Grain' the timber then you stipulation graining tool and that is another bubble game.
Answers:    You need emulsion paint (ie river based). You can get special paints that are designed for wash, but really you just have need of to water down conventional paint. If you have some spare wood (or possibly use the underside of the table) water down some white paint until you surface to have the right match of colour and wash, and budge for it.
You shoudn't need to protect it, but if you do, use a matt varnish, as interpret on top of a dry-clean would look a little uncommon.
