Answers: There are a lot of honest stains on the market, wet base is the one I would use. Test it on bits and pieces if you have any ,you may want to donate water to get hold of it les dark . If the floor is contained by good shape and have nice wood , just put finish on it, no stain
Not ample info here. Are the floors old next to old stain and finish, or unsullied wood?
If old, sand the floors first beside at least a 120 grit article. Then sand to smooth out with a 220 grit serious newspaper.
You have to form sure you get ALL of the matured stain and finish off, if that is to say the case. A different stain WILL NOT go through that for your brand new color and it will stand out like a sore thumb.
If near are cracks, even small ones, between the boards, you should use a wood putty in them. Apply near a putty knife. This will be done formerly you final sand with the 220 grit tabloid. Otherwise, if not puttied surrounded by, you will have the cracks show. They probably won't show unless you really grasp down and look, but they will be there and dirt will build up within them.
After you sand, you will apply your stain with a cloth I assume. You want to make sure you do NOT dance over area's you have already done as you will trade name darker spots doing this. The knob is to "blend".
Then, you will apply a finish, or varnish. After you have varnished, they enjoy a super fine sanding wipe you need to rub on this to capture out all little bubbles. It will perceive very gritty when it's first dry. But, after you use this, it will become super smooth. Don't rub too not easy as you don't want to rub the finish off and "rub through" to your stain and mess it up.
Then, repeat the closing step again. And again if you wish. The more coats you apply, the more protected and shiny your floor will be and you will simply need to use plain hose to clean them.
The sand and seal sand (the last step I told you about) are hugely dusty jobs. Wear a cloak. I would also open a windowpane with a follower blowing out to blow as much out as possible while doing this. And close off any doors to other rooms.
