How to remodel the fireplace without retiling? Can I put contemporary tiles on top of weak tiles using cement?
I really hate the fireplace surrounded by my family room. My decor have a warm tone and the fireplace a moment ago seems so strange. I am thinking about tallying trims to the fireplace and changing the color of the tiles. But my budget is constrained.
Can I paint over the tiles? The tiles got heated when I use the fireplace so conceivably that's not a good conception?
Can I put new tiles or mosaic on top the existing tiles beside cement or some adherence without taking past its sell-by date the old tiles? Because it seem very difficult to do so as I am topical to DIY.
Would really appreciate any input. Picture of the fireplace:

Answers: Tile over tile is a 2-step process. You must prep the existing surface to receive the right type of mastic required for the new tiles.
buy a hot surround that goes over the frail one
