im allowed to redo my room, but i cant change the room color, which is lilac. what type of furniture should i use? what colors jump best with lilac?(i like dark colors)
Answers: Black is always a good color choice, and I'm imagine that blacks, grays and whites would look good with the walls. And on the color gearstick, although not a dark color, yellow is converse lavender, so if you use both, the colors will really pop.
Also, don't get furniture just because you resembling it. Make sure it fits in your room logically (not literally, but obviously literally, too). You don't want a monstrosity of a dresser or stool that's going to take up your whole room.
Best bet is move about to the paint or hardware store and pick out some paint samples you like. They're free and you don't enjoy to buy the paint. Put these up by your walls at different times of the day to see how they look with the lilac. Then shift from there.
As for type of furniture, that depends on your taste and budget.
If you're Goth blood red and black accent with lilac are cool.
If you like the the deep or water, adding blues and greens will donate the lilac room a beaching feel.
Play with what you resembling and experiment with free stuff before you spend any money.
