How to swathe a High End Second Hand Shop? A friend of mine has open a high end/designer second appendage shop...
A friend of mine has open a high end/designer second appendage shop and she needs some design concerning decoration and display.
The shop is located contained by a 3 rooms flat, the flat is sunny and it has a fitting volume, but she has to integer out how to display the clothes and accessories short giving the "too crowed" impression.
Any accepted wisdom?
The store is 60s themed, with Audrey Hepburn painting, posters, Marilyn Monroe prints, black and white furniture, very neat photo frames and a few mirrors.
I would really appreciate some links to "how to decorate" sites, or decorate near a budget....photos will be of great help.
Thank you,
Dia
Answers: Well, near display make sure the clothing is efficiently accessible and make sure that they are not crowded on the racks. Put similar clothing together (suits, jacket, dress pants ect..) Most places group items by size. Decide if to be exact what you want to do.
As for accessories, does she enjoy a display case? If not, she should find one for fashion jewelry, scarves, watches, ect.
If she have hats afterwards she could use neat hooks on the wall to display them.
Have cool and chic mannequins displaying the most stylish items in the store.
Check out ikea for decorations and thinking. Their stuff is really modern, but they do have some things that look really retro.
Have retro furniture similar to a couch and some cool chairs near the dressing nouns.
If I owned it I would have ethnic group that acted like ˇ°personal shoppers/assistantsˇ± for the customersˇasking them if they would similar to a beverage (tea, coffee, water ect) and assisting them next to their shopping needs. You really want the customers to be aware of like they are getting special treatment approaching the people who originally bought the designer items.
Ohˇit sounds approaching so much fun! Can I come?
