Mauve is an outmoded color and you can update the look with presently colors. Coffee, latte, ivory would work. Don't add any more pinks. Find a single orchid plant white w/pink or green centers would look nice also. I would update conceivably the towel bar and night light plate with a brushed nickel finish. And if the budget allows, trial lighting, always make a huge impact.
