I want to redecorate my room. We just painted it yellow. It's unbelievably bright. I want to tone it down a bit. I have a blue and white bed spread, but I'm willing to buy another one. I'm 17 and I'm looking for something modern but classic. Any design?
I know what ya mean I hold a yellow room too. What I did was acquire a down conferter with a white douve cover with a cool colorful design on it. I also put a few posters on my walls to trade name it the color of my room a little more mature and smaller amount striking. Just get creative! All have to say-so is try not to use a lot of red it will look like a mcdonald's. my room is wan too!! here's what i did...
1. put in a chair thats red or pink
2. take a light that has a kind of different colors
3. get a rug that's red or pink
4. get curtains that are white beside red or pink

Maybe achieve a new bed spread thats lighter yellow & get hold of some decorative throw pillows for it. Then maybe look for some insense or nice candles to put contained by your room. Then id suggest looking for a sign with your mark on it or a saying on it to hang over a mirror or something. And to top it bad get some nice yellow incomplete lights to hang around. i had a pallid room with a gold/tan and black comforter black curtains and some cool lookin pillows (assorted)
i think that you should look into black... not similar to gothic or anything but it really helped balance my room. devise black and yellow on a bee does it look good on a bee? um i would enunciate yes :D
i cant think of any yellow and blue animal...conceivably a tropical frog or a penguin...o there r sme birds i think.anyway black and pale (i also had a white ceiling) is the way 2 stir
btw Yellow is my favorite color, good choice for a room...or anything lol :D
Answers: You can use darker draperies and wall hangings to offset the wan, a dark blue.
Change your lightbulbs to a softer brightness. You can also "sponge" over the yellow near a darker gold to dispense it a bit a texture-it's very easy to do.
yA...GET SOME REDS.BLUES.GREENS.IT WILL REALLY BRITIN THE ROOM BUT Unot to brit..like the blues and reds whill clam it down..and green...purple...will make it pop out.similar to the whole room like POP out The blue, white, and washed out combination is cheerful but not restful or sophisticated. Maybe by changing the comforter and art work you can get more of the classic look you want. Start near a beautiful comforter that you love or a piece of art and work from there.
