Thread count is important as to how the sheets get the impression to your skin and how long they will hold up to washing. Under 300 they perceive like sandpaper, 500 and above discern smooth, 800 + feels resembling silk. Kids may not notice (themes close to Cars or Snow White, etc.) are not something "you" would want to sleep on.
Personally, I won't buy less than 300 count. As one answerer put it, smaller number than that is similar to sleeping on sandpaper. Really poor quality.
Also, the type of cotton is far-reaching, for instance better sheets are made from high part long-staple cotton. Some manufacturers will verbs two thinner threads together to form a two-ply thread. Then, they misrepresent the quality of their sheets by stating an increased thread count, such as wise saying a sheet that is essentially 300 thread count is a 600 thread count. (Note: highly developed thread count does not mean a sheet will hole.)
Answers: it matter up to a point. after that, the sheets get extraordinarily fine and even are more prone to tearing.
i would utter get something above 200 or so. it should be fine.
i discern after i wash my sheets several times they consistency soft.
i just get a 600 thread count but i heard that if you bring super high up here they'll be more likely to rip since it's so soft.

one time i have 225 thread counts and it was softer than my 400! budge figure!
i influence if it feel right to the touch, it should be great. if you resembling it personally, thread count will be lesser.
