Answers:    Hi. I'd grasp rid of the stuff you know you don't want in at hand first. Either donate the baby stuff to a thrift shop or pack it up and store it somewhere else within the house. (Use clear plastic boxes if you are storing in an attic or garage or somewhere dusty or wet.)

Painting is fine, but it's not very versitile if you convert your mind later. For example, you spend adjectives this money and time painting your walls red, and next year you dislike intensely orange and resembling blue. Well it takes twice as much paint and time to cover the red. Instead, I'd pick two colors you like and return with a new counterpane, sheets, curtains/shades, etc. in those colors. They are easier to revision, and they will probably wear out and need to be replaced surrounded by a few years anyway.

The most important entry is to have a place for everything. Clean clothes, dirty clothes, university stuff, shoes, etc. You're just going to preserve getting more stuff and bigger stuff, so try to start a system now so you don't turn up having one of those crappy cluttered pubescent rooms that smells.

Also, too many teens cover their walls surrounded by posters. It's so cliche. Stay away from that if you can. Instead, frame posters and photos and hang them or lean them resting on your dresser. I also like the concept of finding 3 or 4 postcards or pictures of a similar theme, and putting them within frames and hanging them on the wall as a series. You can interchange them if you are into something unsullied. It looks grown up, but not too over-the-top.
It's really hard to give an account what all you enjoy, but it's always be said the simpler the better. But whatever you prefer, please paint your walls! It needs to be bright and ecstatic. Looks like a dungeon from here.
