How should I paint my baker's rack? My mom gave me a metal baker's rack that she used...

My mom gave me a metal baker's rack that she used to enjoy in her kitchen. It is a nice rack, however, it looks so out- dated because of its blue color. I want to paint it or spray paint it to trade name it look like wrought iron or antique metal of some form. Any suggestions on how to do this or what kind of paint I can use? Are at hand any special techniques or do I lately use black paint? Thanks for any advice you can impart me!
Answers:    If I were you, first article I'd check is to see if there are any wrought iron finishes surrounded by spray paints (I could swear I've seen that out there).
If not, a flat black spray paint will be pretty close to matching look. I like Rustoleum spray paint - dull or flat black would be fine. Use fluffy coats, just mist it on and dally 15 minutes or so then a repeat process at least possible 1 more time.
