How should i vary my bedroom? for the whole year, i wanted to loose change around my room...

for the whole year, i wanted to loose change around my room a little but didn't have plenty time to. now that it's summer, i'm gonna redecorate it. My walls are a pastel green, and i'd like to donate some stripes along the side, but nothing major. I'm thinking highlights of cloudy purple and bright red. What are your opinions? Does anyone have other colors that budge well with green and white?
