You can spend as little or as much as you want.
Go on Craigslist.com to find furniture.... BIG WAY to save money. Some relatives actually dispense away like unknown furniture on there.
Check contained by the 'business' section on the FOR SALE chronicle.... and then also check the 'furniture' part on there. If you don't know how... ask someone to give a hand you with it.... it is a drastically popular site now so someone should know how to help you.
Paint is the place where on earth you do not want to cut corners.... buy a good ability primer and paint. Check out Sherwin Williams. I like their paint.
Answers: If you'll be doing the work yourself, I'd say just about $30-$50 for paint and supplies...$1500-$2200 for a desk, dresser, 2 nightstands that are reasonably nice...
I don't know if you've get a bed to re-do, but if so- I would say $50-$100 for spanking new bedding.
If you want new artwork for walls: $75-$200
New lamps/accessories: $55-$100
