I am closing on my new house this week and the floors call for to be re-finished. Any idea how much it will cost and how long it take to get the work done? The house is something like 1500 sq. ft. and every room is hardwood. The house is totally empty right very soon, but I would like to move contained by before mid-June.
Answers: Ideal situation to get hold of the best price, however I would get at lowest two bids. These guys are slow right now and would love a position like this. Just be paid sure that you get everything within writing and go beside your gut feeling not a moment ago price. I have mine done right before we moved into our house, and man am I GLAD we werenĄ¯t living in that during the process!! ItĄ¯s so messy.
Our buddy does floors and gave us a discounted price of $1.5 square foot. At smallest where I live $2-3/sq ft. is closer to average.
