I have a marble top for a center island. It's 4ft 5inches from top to bottom.3ft 3inches within the middle.7ft 4 inches across. It weighs at least possible 400 pounds or more. Can anyone tell me how much it's worth selling it for? Where can I put on the market it in NYC?

It is really intricate to sell prefabricated pieces of stone because every application that it could be used for would require forgery for its own dimensions. I just saw a store trying to acquire rid of several large pieces of carerra, travertine and granite from departed over projects at about 99 dollars a piece. We couldn't use any of them because they be 7 inches short for our application. And the cost to have them fabricated and to find another surrounding substance to fill the gap would have be too expensive.
very tricky to sell such an item, defenitely not at the price that your local kill will sell it to you because it will obligation to be picked up and transported and cut to fit some other space. You may end up giving it away purely for the sake of getting it out of where ever you hold it.
