how do you pull a rug up? im getting a new rug and it costs in the region of 100$ more to pull it up so i was wondering if it is worth the aggravation. and if you own any tips to doing it please let me know

The underlie might be glued down if its on concrete but if it's on a sub floor it should be free floating or maybe stapled. That will hold to come up as well. It should take you resembling 30 min top to pull it up.

If your talking in the region of full room carpet it's really simple. Just cut it into strips with a utility axe, usually about 2-3 feet all-embracing and pull it up and roll it up. Then you can just use a tack hammer to pull up the tack strips around the perimeter of the room

It's undemanding. Just get a utility knife and start adjectives and pulling. But if for $100 they will take up the old stuff and clutch it away, I'd go for that. Also, if the installers pull it up, they will know whether they can or want to use the out-of-date strips along the edge.
