I am repainting my entire home. I am finding that in my dining room I am seeing brush strokes. How can I pervent this?
Answers: If you are using a roller, first is the unmarked color lighter than the old? If so you call for to prime first, or if the old is remarkably old or dirty, as oil accumulated on the wall surface will not allow the up to date paint to adhere in good health, causing you to see imperfections. I prefer "Kills" primer, flawless stuff, but open the fanlight! ;)
Then, ensure you have the correct roller for your wall surface, textured, smooth etc...
Finally, when you paint, do not budge up and down or side to side, only use the "W" template. The first coat will almost always still hold noticeable imperfection, and any good paint living will have 2 coats. Once you do the second coat you should wipe out any areas that seemed wasted or spotty. Also, make sure you are not pressing too sturdy, you will know if you are as it will make raise lines at the ends of the roller. Some are tempted to do this as they can squeeze more paint out of the roller, but you aren't really helping yourself, as you will see those lines then.
Good luck hun! And HAPPY PAINTING!
