How do Stencils work for sculpture walls? Should I purely try freehand design for my home department? I am not an artist, but I want to do something...

I am not an artist, but I want to do something radical near my home office and use red and red and yellow on the walls beside some sort of design, not just stripes. Any thinking?
Answers:    If you can get your hand on a projector, you can use any image you want w/o the stencil as you'll be capable of trace the design projected onto the wall and make it doesn`t matter what you want it to be.

If you choose to make your own stencil, bring some painting mask tape, some fitting poster board & an exacto knife.

Draw your design on the posterboard or something equally sturdy and use the exacto to precisely cut out your design - cartridge it onto the wall and start your painting.

If using more than one stencil contained by the same nouns, wait until the wall have completely dried before tape up another stencil over it.

Since you are wanting to use different colors, make a stencil to use for respectively color. They will have to fit together resembling a puzzle when on the wall so you may want to use one piece of poster board as the main outline of the design. Cut that up and trace the parts onto separate boards and cut those out so they adjectives measure duplicate & line up where on earth you want them to.

Good luck!
totally depends on what you want..

and what you like as "radical"

You could do tribal, that would look "radical" haha.

it depends on what you resolve,

if you can find a stencil that has a design you resembling, then visibly do that...

if you want something simple, and you can draw a line,

afterwards attempt to do it yourself
