Alright, I have this house. And it has the resourceful (most likely fir) 1920s-era woodwork... that some douche went and painted over, first next to lead-based (yes, yes, yes, I know, I know...), then with latex.
The property does not own electricity, so heat guns are out. And I DO NOT want to use a scraper, because A. the wood is awesome, and B. the walls are old-school plaster, and one slip could knock out an entire section.
I own rags, I have scrub sponges... what kind of chemical should I use? And if rags and scrub sponges aren't the best, what's the best applicator for the wondrous mystery chemical you guys are going to prescribe?
