I need to install a phone jack but the colors dont contest. The jack has the usual four (yellow, black, green, and red) but from the wall I enjoy six cables of different colors. They are two red, two green, and two blue. Does anyone know what goes where on earth?

Answers:    I know that you need two wires for respectively phone red and green should be one set and black and yellow should be the other set.
if this doesn't work you can be in motion to the box and change them to the right nouns.

For starters you just need two colors, no recitation how they wired it up in your house, but progress and look in your touchtone phone box on the public use side of it if you have one. Also check out this site it might make a contribution some more info. There are alot of wires in those jacks, but your standard handset line solely needs two wires.
