How do i build a blanket? i have plentifully of cute material but what else do i involve...

i have plentifully of cute material but what else do i involve to make a blanket, and what are the steps to making one! i come up with it would be a nice replacement since my other one got ruined, and also a nice do-it-yourself project... the objects is regular, like muslin and its tie dye, i own scissors and thread, and thats about it =)

umm make a pocket, stuff cotton contained by it, seal it past its sell-by date, and thn stitch box patterns over it. Thats how i conjure up they make em :)
