How comfortable are futon bed? im thinking about doing an asian area in one of my bedrooms...

im thinking about doing an asian area in one of my bedrooms and i want to pocket the bed out and put a futon in here. I like the hypothesis of it being essentially a couch unless someone comes and stays

Answers:    It all depends on the mattress. I currently use a 10" Gold Bond innercoil futon mattress near a visco memory foam top and it is extremely comfortable. Another good model is to buy a mattress gripper to prevent the mattress from falling forward when in coach mode.
Diamond plate plastic sheeting?
not particularly comfortable, I put them in equal class as a sofa bed.
