We just bought a investigational rug from IKEA 7ft by 7ft, and its a plush rug...we bought it because our 9 month old son started crawling and his knees be getting tore up from our carpet...
The rug we enjoy it awesome, but when he crawls over it, little pieces of fuzz come from it and he balls it up and tries to get through it..and it sheds all over our runner and is really annoying.
it was a cramp in the *** to bring home individual soo long, i dont want to take it stern, is there something i can use to trade name it not fuzzz off? We vaccum and vaccum and it make it worse it seems...HELP PLEASE!
Answers: All knotted/tufted rugs do that at first. After the weave process, the rug is trimmed/shaved to a uniform pile. This leaves little fibers that unravel in the rug. Just similar to when you get a style - most of the hair ends up on the floor, but some of it still sticks to your tresses & clothes. As a result, these fibers will come loose as you walk on it/vaccuum it. Over time, it will lessen as you vaccuum up more & more of the loose bits.
Here is a really attention-grabbing video about how a rug is made:

Totally commonplace. It is not a very righteous quality hearth rug, but it's still normal. Vacuum, vacuum, afterwards vacuum some more. It WILL stop.
