I am re-finishing my kitchen cabinets and hold a water ring within the window sill, that did not sand out and the stain did not cover it. Is within a way to capture it out?

Answers:    Is it a dark stain? If it is, it is within the wood and a wood bleach (from your paint store) will remove it. It is a paste that you put on the stain.

I have an old fashioned method recommended to me and it really worked. I didn't believe it would but I have this white water ring on a mahogany fireplace and the red mark disappeared completely. You get some cigarette ash within a dish, dampen a cloth and dip it surrounded by so you have a gummy paste on the cloth, later rub it into the mark and move off it to dry. When its dry, wipe of the ash and buff the wood with a verbs cloth and that should do it. Hope it works for you as well as it did for me.
