My room will be painted a very feathery pink (not pastely, just close to white) but I don't know how to get done that elegant, airy awareness because:
1) I have brown cherrywood furniture
2) my room gets hugely little sunlight.
What colors work well near pink to create that breezy, country feel? What other items should I buy to bring in a harmonious, peacefull setting? What colors pulls lighting into a room?
I find it difficult to create such a look with dim furniture. It would be so much easier if I had white furniture, but I don't.
My room is exposed except for the large furniture so please suggest any trimmings that would fit this look. Any ideas in connection with rugs, lighting, mirrors, wall hangings/decorations, bedsheets, pillows, chairs, curtains, and bookshelves ideas
I am a 21 year infirm woman and I just bought my own little house. I am not interested within the pink/chocolate theme because I find it too stuffy. Also, I'm not contained by a position to replace any furniture or major-ticket items.
Answers: Adding lighting "layers" tends to be profusely easier then replacing and/or tallying windows. Try dimmer switches and lots of lamp around the room and a nice ceiling fixture, a chandelier and classic lamp groundwork shapes with nice material shades will have an well-groomed and mature grain if you pick more grown up styles. Because your furniture is dark brand name sure that you don't over do it with cloudy bedding and curtains. Also, a possibly is painting general veridical stripes on your walls in a dark shade of pink. Using fun and colorful fabrics is an slickly and not very expensive mode to easily changeover a rooms look, and as for wall decorations and accessories look contained by thrift stores and at yard sale. Chances are you can find some great stuff and refurbish it for not a ton of money. Neutral bedding with bright pops of color would be great as ably. Happy decorating!
