How can I find out the importance of my Chinese chairs from mother's estate & their meaning? They are painted a deep reflective reddish color on the wood....
They are painted a deep reflective reddish color on the wood. The back and seats are upholstered beside a fine embossed fabric that have Chinese figures on it. There are upholstery tack around the edges to keep it surrounded by place. Very very nice- and antiquated.
Answers: Call your homeowners insurance agent, and ask them for a referral for an insurance appraisal. They should be able to hand over you the name of an appraiser that can offer you the insurance value for the chairs. This will bequeath you a general perception of what the replacement value is.
