I had a contractor that be supposed to double drywall a room to help nouns proof the room but I don't think they double drywalled it. My wife have another contractor take a look at the walls and they said it doesn't look close to the wall is double drywalled.

Answers:    what thickness of drywall be to b used? most is 1/2 inch thick(approx.)...take sour a elect outlet cover and remove box to measure concreteness...turn off power to outlet first.might also know how to access edge by removing a piece of door or glass trim.the door jam should be 1/2 inch thicker than adjectives other rooms. thicker wall + standard door=thicker door jam.....a honest carpenter should be able to positively find out near access to room.
