Once saw on a home makeover show the interior desighner painting over a print using a clear substance beside a paint brush. Once the liquid have dried, the print had brush strokes on it making it look as though it have been painted. The problem is, I don't know what they used to acheive this affect. Please oblige! Thank you!
I don't know much on the subject, but you can step to a local art supply place and look for clear gloss surrounded by the acrylic paint section and try it on a preview pic. If you kinda mush it around it may give you that look. If not, find in touch next to a professional photographer. Not Sears, not Walmart photo centers. You want a pro. See if he can take your photo and re-print it on special thesis that they have that make photos look like painting. I've seen them do this.

It be prob. Gesso. Goes on milky white, dries clear, keeps the texture you brush it on next to.

Check the link below.
Answers:    they may have used an acrylic matte surrounding substance, something like gesso, but clear. the thicker it is, the more brushstrokes you can see. you can buy it at any craft or art store.

modge podge might also work.
