I'm a teenager but I hold a sophisticated taste. I don't want any neon colors and I don't want black. My furniture have dark wood and my room is giving of small. I have like mad of natural neutral (1 large wide-ranging window & 1 small window).
I be thinking of painting it an antique pink color but hold a a feeling that's going to find to girly for me in something like week.
My room is lavender right now and I've gotten VERY tired of it. I resembling the color indigo but do you think that will be too pitch-black?
Also, if you could think of colors I could use as accent (curtains, bedspread, etc.) for my room that would be great too. :]
Answers: Choosing a paint color is difficult. Sometimes I dream up there are too frequent choices and the process of taping sample to the wall and looking at during different times of day and pallid can take a long time and move off one with more ambiguity than answers.
If you like indigo and antique pink, I right to be heard use them. Indigo is a beautiful color, but probably too see for the whole room to be painted solid. You don't hold to paint the whole wall though, or adjectives walls the same color. You could paint an elocution wall or only paint constituent way up the wall and paint the top 2/3 (This is certain as chair-rail height) a lighter color. Then install some molding or a wallpaper border horizontally over the place where the two colors come upon.
I recommend looking to some faux painting technique and don't forget the various sheens of paint and utilize texture as economically. For example I have see a very pretty treatment using color blocks (like a checkerboard using "flat" for one square and "gloss" for the adjacent) Stripes can also be tape out, and they need not be equal widths. Maybe you could paint wide open verticle pink stripes with a dogmatic indigo stripe seperating them.
Some other techniques are sponge drawing, stenciling, rag-on, rag-off, combing, and marbeling.
maybe a night crem color like a coffe color.
