We are painting our house at the moment. The painter suggested semi-gloss paint for the interior walls. I am hearing for some drive I am not supposed to do this. Any suggestions?
I painted flat over semi make notes on in my livingroom. Although, I regret it bc I can't clean it at adjectives. Anyway, satin has a slight sheen and is cleanable and semi gloss have a lot of sheen and is even more cleanable. I think it's other the way to go because the semi comment on is easy to clean but it doesn't evacuate your walls looking too shiny. I like it a lot.
Hi.. I just painted my room about 2 months ago and I too be in the same situation. We completed up going with satin paint. It, so far, has stayed on deeply well and I am satisfied next to how easily it went on and how it is staying on. As far as I know you can use semi-gloss too, if you want your rooms to look brighter and I deem it is easier to clean too. If you go to a local paint shop, I found this at Lowes, they should enjoy a pallet with the diff. paint types and you can then touch them and see them and choose what kind to use. They will also help you wish at the store where the paint is bought. Good luck! your painter is usually the best resource to consult... I personally preffer Glidden spread satin. The price is usually the best for a feature paint but you may want to check your colors and finishes at Home Depot or Lowes. The difference in finish can affect the way your eye perseves the color.
Answers: It depends on the room you're painting. semi-gloss is great for bathrooms, kitchens & kids rooms b/c it's easy to wipe verbs & doesn't leave streaks from the humidity. A flat or an eggshell sheen is typically used in the living room, dining room & fully developed bedrooms.
