Homemade or cheap shelves and book ends for nursery? I've decided to recover the floor space and hang shelves high-ranking on...
I've decided to recover the floor space and hang shelves high-ranking on the wall for books and nicknacks in the nursery. This instrument, when the baby become a toddler, he won't pull them stale like I used to. I found some fairly inexpensive plain shelf boards at Home Depot, but the brackets seem expensive. I will also have need of some inexpensive book ends, but don't like the undamaged "paint a brick" idea that I found when I Googled. Does anyone enjoy any suggestions?
I've seen these at Target and resembling them so much that we are getting some for the office this week: http://www.target.com/Cubicles-8-Cube-Wh... You could probably find a method to mount them high. Target also have these for small toys & books and they look nice. http://www.target.com/Blue-Fabric-Cube-S...
(I've never had luck beside suspension shelving, always crashes on me!)
Adjusable brackets are probably the most cost effective for multiple shelves.
As for book ends, you don't necessitate them. Go to a book store and pick up some books for the kiddo. If you lie them on thier sides they will hold up the standing books. It might be fun to do a subject and get a used set of elder teen books like the Hardy boys to use as bookends. Or adjectives those pregnancy books would be good as capably.
Answers: I was starved for space contained by my children's nursery so I got the adjustable shelving from HOME DEPOT and for around $100 it looked very, exceptionally nice and when we moved we could easily hold it with us...
As for bookends.. I made some from some stuffed animals.. I cut a small hole into respectively animal and took some stuffing from a couple bears and put some ballons chock-a-block with sand inside.. You can go and get "balloon weights" from a party supply store that sell helium balloons... They cost $1 or $2.
well-mannered luck
