We need to take our home remodeled, what we need most of adjectives is new floors. Me and my mom want to run down panelling, which makes our living room look resembling a home from 1972, have workers put contained by a drywall, and all laminate wooden floors, which is cheaper than genuine wood floors. The problem is we don't have thousands and thousands of dollars to do this and our credit isn't that pious is there any home repair contractors that will work beside folks like us?
Answers: Yes I am sure you can return with someone to work for you. First don't remove the paneling. Put the drywall directly over the paneling. You will have to product new skylight jams, or wrap the jam with drywall. There are copious types of laminate floors, and some are more expensive than others. You will want the laminate floor to be snap lock (no glue). If you can use a chop saw, you might even be able to do the floor yourself, BUT don't try it if you don't enjoy any experience with this type of work! With the housing souk slowing down, you might be able to gain a highly qualified character for a real angelic rate, but this depends on where you live. Not adjectives markets are slow right in a minute. Get a budget and tell the contractor how much you can spend. He should be capable of tell you if its possible beside the budget.
If you are looking for an update and don't have that much money to spare, I would simply PAINT the paneling! Do the floors, but skip re-doing the walls. You will be AMAZED at how great it looks!! Choose a nice, sophisticated color...nought gaudy...and paint them in an eggshell finish, not flat. To paint, you will hold to clean the paneling near a vinegar and water solution, consequently make any obligatory repairs, such as covering nail holes, etc. as usual. Then paint the paneling using a sturdy textured roller. That way, the little grooves between the paneling strips don't require extra work. Trust me, it looks awesome! Since you are contemplating redo the walls anyway, try it in a small nouns before you progress the drywall route and that should prove what a great solution this would be! I remodeled my entire house...new dry wall, etc. But I LEFT the lone paneled room, painted it, and put in wood floors. I draw from nothing but compliments, and it save me lots of $$!!
