We are adding a dining room & a den to our house.
How will I be in motion about doing this?
So far.. I know that we'll knock member of my kitchen wall out & install a doorway.
But how do I go just about putting down a floor & putting up walls?
& what will I need to do it?

They will know how to explain each step to you. By asking those.
if they are extending the house they will any need to lay more concrete for the floor, or build stilts for it-not as worthy.
once that is done the runner or wood goes over that.
As for the walls, they will affix 2x4's for vertical studs and sheetrock onto that, after the wiring is done as you would expect. Then paint the walls and done.
you need a contractor and if you live surrounded by the city limits--you need a licence. you're talking just about some major work here--you can't lately go around knocking out walls. most kitchen walls are "nouns bearing walls" and if you cut something out---your house will be unsupported. you seriously entail to hire a contractor.
