my room doesnt draw from a lot of natural wispy

there is a lil like space on one wall where on earth i have mydesk.
How about a combo or stripe in red and wan colors. The would be very different. Painting stripes is time consuming but looks great and very vivid. No one else would hold that kind of look.. white. and add posters and stickers and stuff
my room is a oil lamp light yellowish color, sorta almost pastel, but still brightish, and it makes my room really lighting. it makes my room seem really bright, and i really resembling it, plus it also goes with greatly of other colors, too, so i can add basically any color or stencil to it and i love it! the color is sorta a pastel yellow/daffodil ish color and it's really pretty! it looks really nice with light blues, bedside light greens, pinks, purples, whites, blacks, and browns! hope i helped! I see that the background of your avatar is purple and you mentioned purple ( eggplant) surrounded by your question so I'd say you must resembling purple so why not go with purple!
But since your room doesn't obtain much natural light, eggplant might be too gloom. You could go with some eggplant trappings though.
I would paint the slanted ceiling and alcove around the window a stunning articulation color, eggplant would be great. Then I would paint the rest of the room a lighter coordinating color, either a lighter shade of the accent color or a contrasting color--like the lime green.
Look at a color joystick (you can find them online) and decide if you want to go contrasting, pastel, etc. It help to have an inspiration piece. If there is something surrounded by the room you love and want to feature, pick colors from that, or go buy something surrounded by a design you love and use those colors. It can be a bedspread, a pillow, a lamp, anything.
Look within Google images for photos of bedrooms and see if you see something you like.
how about doing eggplant with a creame color if you do they hlw room one color it get annoyinh the colors fo togehter good
good luck I imagine you should do it red and lime that would be awesome and wouldn't be exactly copying your friend.
nice lines to your room. I suggest a light color. you want a light color to echo light. not possible beside an eggplant color. I suggest pale lavender or a creamy color, or a range of yellows to brighten it up. devout luck You've got a good room to do fun elocution wall colors. Pick 2-3 coordinating colors and go crazy! I wouldn't paint the whole room one and the same, that's for sure.
I painted my walls "Grape Jam" and love it! With a room as small as yours and it not getting any intuitive light i would highly recomend NOT going next to the purple...it will just darken your room and make look even smaller. A lime green would be nice...simply make sure you like the color. And i would notably recomend painting anything thats wood in your room white. That includes trim, baseboards, crown molding (if any) and dressers. That would deffinitly oblige to brighten your space. Also if you're really into the purple you could pull it off if everything else surrounded by your room was white (eg. bedding, dressers, desks, moldings, etc...)

i mull over since you like egg plant maybe you should paint that the little space where on earth you have your desk that color. or maybe only paint the walls the framing around that wall... and paint the back wall a lime green.
but i would suggest that bold colors in a small space build it look smaller... and especially since you have little natural lighting.. paint colors will look different on your walls and not resembling they look like on those paint card things.
me personally...
i would do these things if it be my room:
suggestion 1:
funky- for a funky color pallette i would paint the main walls a greenish color and do a red horizontal stripe around the room. in the littel cove nouns i would paint the back wall red-the same color as the stripe- and paint the framing around it the green.
i like these colors:

suggestion 2:
sophisticated- for a sophisticated pallette i would recommend a silvery blue near tan accents. similar to paint the main walls a blue color and do maybe white modern circles on them. after paint the cove a tanish color.
maybe use some of these colors:
