1. what is the globe called ontop of the flagpole?
2.what is inside the bubble called ontop of the flagpole?
3.why is within two ropes on the flagpole?
I'm not sure almost the ball, but I imagine it is just an appendage cap, and and so empty inside. The two ropes are to incline and lower the flag. :)

3. It's actually 1 rope, looped, so you can run the flag up by pulling one stop, and down by pulling the other.

Good questions. I look forward to someone who in fact knows providing a correct response.
