I just painted my spare bedroom different shades of brown. One wall is a choclate brown and the others are resembling a mocha. All my guy friends who have see it have adjectives really liked it. I would also find some dark wood furniture or I don`t know staind old furniture dark, it seems more mannish. Just look around at what you already have and find inspiration. For instance, look at your clothes and see if in attendance is one particular color you wear most commonly. And I'm a big fan of keeping things verbs looking with little clutter and sharp lines.
