Help sculpture wierd kitchen layout? my kitchen in our house has be driving me crazy for 2...
my kitchen in our house has be driving me crazy for 2 years now. it has wierd, behind the times orangy/sand/light brownish ceramic tile counters and backsplash with a brick red colored fleck contained by it. my cabinets and walls are off-white. i hate the counters, but it is too expensive to replace them. i thought of fine art the walls or cabinets with the brick red color to play rotten the color in the counters, and possibly decorate surrounded by some sort of spanish theme. the cabinets are a continous huge built-in section on top and bottom across 3 of the 4 walls (traditional U-shaped) in the kitchen with one and only a couple of inches around door and window frames that is moved out as wall to paint, but the fourth wall (across the room from U) is pretty open and has no cabinet above counter. Would u paint the cabinets, their doors, or the walls, or a combination? i thought about the walls but don't know if it would look close to i only painted half the room? what do u contemplate?
Answers: it will ruin your cabinets to paint over the finish but you could strip them down, sand them, and either refinish them or primer and paint in recent times make sure you think through it befor you do it.
also if you know any one within the carpentry buisness you might want to ask their advice. you can paint the walls and newly refinish the cabinet doors too. i have seen that done alot. and it looks nice.
