Has anyone ever spray painted a sink faucet? I want to get rid of the gold ingots in the house...
I want to get rid of the gold ingots in the house we of late bought, but it's everywhere and would cost a fortune to replace it all. Especially hot faucets. They are fine faucets, but I HATE gold. I sprayed the cabinet knob, light fixtures and towel racks black. It worked great, contrary to what another post say about fine art brass, but I'm worried about doing something that get wet constantly. Has anyone ever done this? Here are pics of what I enjoy done so far. See the gold faucets stick out similar to a sore thumb.

Answers: Ok, you are not going to like my answer...it without doubt is not what you want to hear...I think the areas you showed surrounded by those 2 pics are lovely...even with the gold ingots faucets!!!! I wouldn't have even salaried attention to them if you didn't point them out :)
I'm serious!!! I think fine art them would actually produce them look bad (worse than what you reflect of them now)...besides, after a short while, the paint will start peeling and chipping, which lead to sanding and repainting again...what a mess that would be...
Oh very well, that's my 2 cents....probably worth nothing to you...
I in actual fact think it looks reallly suitable the way it is...it's a nice contrast to the black accent. I think black fixtures would look too 'stark', and besides, the brass is a nice complement that go well near the 'mix' of the walls and accents.
