Hardwood floor finish / plugs? I just finished installing a hardwood floor. It is a nice 5...

I just finished installing a hardwood floor. It is a nice 5 inch purpleheart wood from Lumber Liquidators. However, since it be on clearance, there be defects contained by quite a few of the pieces. I'm trying to digit out what can be used as a patch on the finish, but I imagine that different products are going to come beside different finishes. All I can say is that the finish isn't enormously strong or durable.

Also, we have slightly a few screw holes to plug. We were thinking we would transport some of the extras back to the shop, plane them down to something close to 1/4 inch, and use a plug cutter with a drill press. Is near an easier way to do this? Is near a company that sells dowels surrounded by different hardwoods for this purpose? If we do that, we'll have to game the finish, of course, which go back to my previous examine.

Any help surrounded by this area would be appreciated.
Answers:    I don't estimate you will find plugs in purpleheart. I would suggest using a lessened plug cutter and leaving the wood artistic thickness. With the pellet orientated correctly they should be almost invisible.
I take it the wood be pre-finished, if so contact supplier and ask what finish was used and if you can pick up some.
If you go to a home dopot or lowes ask a clerk for a plugger Its similar to a drill bit it may cost 50 bucks but its worth it then attain a piece of tile or whatever to meeting and whola no one will interest,
