Gray kitchen floors near shadowy green counter tops. what color should i paint the walls?
well since you have threatening colors, i suggest that you use white on your walls for a sophisticated and modern look... you might think white is plain but there are wonderful high gloss pearly whites that look nice lighting blue or yellow
Decorators tell us to use darker colors at the floor and walk lighter as we go upward in a room. That is the path natural colors are, getting lighter toward the sky. I think a deeply pale tinted green with white ceiling. The dark green counter would act as elocution.
Try taking a pic of the wall that has the counter. Upload it to your computer and play a bit with the wall colors surrounded by your photo editor.
This has saved me a bit of time, especially choosing accent.
Answers: play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the net, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can dig out by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most authentic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think a light blue like "mountain air" (# 6224) might look nice.
You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can return with color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look close to.
