Granite Countertops? We are building a home. Yesterday I went to the house...

We are building a home. Yesterday I went to the house and they have installed the granite counters. There is an L shaped corner that the seems come together and it looks outrageous. I have never see a seem done the route they did this seem. It is not a straight file, it is almost like a dimple was cut out and the the appear straightens.

Is their any recourse? Are there standards to how granite seem should look? Is this a valid concern to raise next to the builder?
it would come across that the granite benchtop was cut within two pieces to save money. ask the builder ,could you enjoy a quote on the benchtop in one piece . you will find it is terrifically expensive ! imagine how hulking the piece of granite would have to be to be cut in need seams! Even so , i own seen seam in benchtops (granite) and you can see the seam but it is not noticeable unless you stand up next to it and really look. agree to the builder know you are not satisfied as you do not hold to tolerate shoddy work. cheers :)

First and foremost, the cabinets own to be installed properly in directive for granite to be right.second,if the countertops were fabricated and installed properly,it should look approaching they "grew" there.Seams as a rule are a very verbs, tight line, almost invisible depending on the color of the granite.
I'd bring this up to the builder,if youre not joyous with the situation, let him know that you arent paying for it.

Shojo, granite slabs are singular 60"-72" wide x120",how do you form a countertop that exceeds those dimension with granite,or are the granite tops you verbs all smaller than that?Or is it a short time ago possible that they were fabricated and installed properly and you dont even spy the seams??
Answers:    Absolutely! If it looks the way you voice it does something is wrong. The seam should be almost unnoticeable except if you are actually looking for it. More than possible the builder did not install the countertops himself, he probably had it done by a subcontractor that does granite. However he should own been at hand when it was done and any approved or disapproved of the job they did. I would fast talk to him roughly speaking it and make it clear that it is completely void and that it needs to be fixed. Don't agree to it go, you rewarded a lot of money for that countertop, it wants to make you contented.
