Getting my daughters room designed near red and white,any planning? I need to design my daughters room . She is 21 months...
I need to design my daughters room . She is 21 months and sleeps in a crib.She is petite, and i didnt want to paint the white room. I am doing ladybugs and a red and white checkered, area. Any ideas for a curtain, and wall hangings and room stuff. The only article i have is a white crib and a white chest of draws.
I dont mind stitching, not very complicated stuff.

on the curtains,you could try a white curtain with red rickrack border. for a wall decoration[s], maybe you could grasp some of the letters that you put in a room and spell out her heading on the wall. Sounds adorable (her and her room!)

I love your view of the lady bugs - sounds adorable. However, don't overdo the theme or it'll start to look cluttered.
One entity you could do is stencil a tree on one wall and have the branches spread over the ceiling; this will add some brown and shades of green into the room and be lots of fun to do and live next to.
Red and white gingham curtains (line them as gingham may be a thin fabric) with a row of that sizeable white rickrack would be cute; you could also scallop the bottoms of the curtains.
Answers: Ohhh sounds like fun. Maybe get red gingham model valance and panels. Or solid color red valance and gingham pattern panel.yep I like that idea better. Then do some flowing stitching lady bugs and random flowers lacking the stems. Some craft store offer great choices on "patches" that you can iron on or stitch on the valance and you would have like mad less work.

Wall hangings you can buy wallies and paste them on. You can also hold pics of lady bugs and or flowers and blow them up at your local staples it is a lot cheaper to draw from that done there. You can also go to CVS they hold a machine that lets you blow up pics cheaper.
You can also dance to your local Stop and Shop and buy some fresh flowers and press them and then frame. You can even fram artificial flowers just fashion sure you buy them somewhere nice like AcMoore or Michaels and try to get the genus of flowers that are sort of flat you know like the sunflowers.
Get a lady bug carton of scrapbooking supplies and add them on to the flower you are framing.
I did my son's art work by creating a picture by using all scrapbooking supplies...sounds wierd but it can work. Just clear sure you buy the stuff when they are having a big sale probably this weekend is a great time to receive sales.
When my daughter was little I required to do her room in all Precious Moments but couldn't find art work so I bought a Precious Moments Calendar tore out the pics I like and had them framed. I loved them.
Go to one of my favorite websites www.lakeside.com they have tons of trimmings for your daughter's room. Also, check out potterybarn kids and whatever you like shop cheaper by going to target and walmart.
MAke shadow boxes of her kid baby stuff.
