My husband and I pulled up lanolium from the bathroom floor a few months ago. Life has been busy and we a short time ago haven't had the time to put more down. Now I have a bathroom floor to be precise wood, but has glue gunk on it (the lanolium be down for 30 years). I am having a shin-dig this Saturday and was wondering if in attendance was a way to form the floor look nicer in three days?
Thanks
Answers: We took my lanolium taken up last week (It have been there almost 30 years too.) There are these long handled scrapers you can get to scuff the glue off (a short handle one would probably be okay too). Try Lowes or Home Depot. Just scrape the glue sour and buy some new lanolium, cut it to fit and glue it down. You could do adjectives of this in a day and you don't necessarily hold to glue it down right away.
Also, you if you don't want to do all of the scrape, Just buy a piece of lanolium and cut it to fit and lay it down on your floor the way it is. Quick fix. ;-)
Hope this helps!
It depends on what you plan on doing for the floor for long permanent status. You can go ahead and finish it like you looked-for to, or buy a big ol rug to cover it for now. If not, then only put a rug down at the door and in front of the sink and toilet and hopefully ur guests will understand. You could travel and get a couple of boxes of sticky tile. It comes in a range of colors, goes down quickly and you can help yourself to it back up when you get in position to put down the new linoleum.
