Double stack Memory foam topper? Do you think it would still be very comfortable if I stack...
Do you think it would still be very comfortable if I stack 2x 2-inch memory foam (4 lb density--Serta brand)?
At overstock.com, adjectives size (twin-cal king) toppers are the same price! So I figure, how around I buy a king 2-inch and then cut it in partially and double stack it to equal a twin 4-inch. Normally, I would just go for spending the extra dough for an imaginative 4-inch. However, I have to be more economical because I have abundantly of other expenses and items to buy because I am transferring to a different college and apartment.
Or if you have had personal experience near a memory foam topper that you truly recommend and that is very affordable, please share details almost it, where you got, how much. Thanks!
data: I appreciate all answers, but please i don't need to be told things like--"don't cut the memory foam" or "take heed while cutting"--my experienced friend will do it for me.
Answers: I work at Overstock.com and have had customers audition this out. The feedback I've heard on it is that it is just as comfortable to lay on two 2 inchers it feel the same as a 4 inch. However the foam moves around and you'll probably be straightening out pretty much every day.
Foam can be thoroughly bad for your health. It emit VOCs as badly as any other substance known to man. Since you are sleeping right on it for several hours each day, the effects can be pretty bleak. You can research this if you're interested.
If you're determined to go with foam, you can buy 4" of foam more cheaply at a store that sell foam for upholstery. Foam is foam is foam, and paying extra for "memory foam" or some other named brand is only going to put money contained by the seller's pocket.
