Dorm bed anf other furniture? Are you allowed to move all of the furniture they provide you...

Are you allowed to move all of the furniture they provide you next to out, so you can move your own stuff in?
I want to move a loft bed into my room and I also want my own desk and bench etc. I havent seen my dorm nonetheless, so I don't know exactly whats available to me.

The other thing I thaught give or take a few was lifting my bed up next to cement blocks for more storage, but I don't really know what I want to do.
Answers:    You should call the university to find out their policy something like furniture removal. Each school is different and some even provide furniture that you can loft already. My university provided a desk and wardrobe that you could use to loft the bed (it was made especially to do this.)

Once you find out their policy you can after decide on the best route for you. Another explanation to call is that some university don't allow you to loft because you would have to put holes contained by the walls, which they don't always approaching. If you want to loft try one of these models that are free standing.

The cement blocks are an excellent idea and would make available you the extra room you desperatly need contained by a dorm room.
