Answers: I would never hang anything unwieldy, especially a mirror with a gimmick. Better to be past the worst and hang that mirror beside the appropriate weight fastener & hook. Don't know what type to use? Put that mirror on a scale so you know exactly how much it weigh. Call your local glass repair shop and ask if they enjoy the nail/hook combos... and check out Home Depot, they usually have anything and everything you will requirement to hang that mirror.
