I am thinking about fine art my apartment and doing an estimate for pricing. I am unsure if you are charged an additional payment when they actually color the paint. And if so if it's only a general cost or it vary with the color.
Answers: In over thirty years I've never remunerated an additional levy to have paint tinted. If you're discussion about colors from a chip/swatch from Lowe's, Home Depot, WalMart, K-Mart or any core hardware chain the cost (for indistinguishable quality level) is like regardless of color. My local paint store has also matched color to a cloth sample minus charging extra.
That said, Ralph Lauren or other designer brands of paint cost more than good infirm everyday Behr (CR top rated), so you can pay more for a indisputable color if you want a specific brand. There MAYalso be a slight charge to tint primer...adviseable if you're doing a dramatic color change.
