Does anyone know what it costs to build a chimney? I need a stack.. you know...similar to the old chimneys they used...

I need a stack.. you know...similar to the old chimneys they used for wood stoves and such? A high-ceilinged box with a hole surrounded by the wall? I have a 150 year older house. I want a lil woodstove in the kitchen, and some jack*ss removed adjectives three of the chimneys from the house before we bought it.
The kitchen sits on a concrete slab at ground height so I'm thinking it would be stable...I just don't know if it's a possibility, if I'm dreaming, or if it will cost as much as a vehicle!!! (and no, I'm not stupid enough to suppose I can do this myself LOLOL)
I know that the direct vent pipe to make my own are just about $250.00 total. A manufactured direct vent chimney is $897.00 for a DuraTech, the best one on the market. I'd merely really rather hold that chimney stack if it's feasible. Pipes slack out of the side of my house I work so hard to restore freshly don't appeal much to me but unfortunately I'm not made of money any. Any other suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated too before I gain estimates.
Answers:    this may sound stupid but if you are endorsement a local construction site ask someone on site if you can speak with a brick section, they will be more than happy to impart you a cash price to build your chimney
